What To Do When You’re Feeling Stuck In Your Business

Ever have days (or even weeks or months) where you’re just feeling so stuck in your business? It feels like you’re wading through treacle, and often, you’re not even sure what it is that’s got you stuck in this rut. Your income has taken a dip, and you feel like you just can’t get back on track.

We’ve all been there.

So if you’re feeling stuck in your business and need some help to get moving again, I’m here to help! Here are my best tips to overcome this stuck-ness.

#1: Take A Step Back To Gain Some Clarity

I know it may seem counterintuitive to step back, especially if you have less income coming in, but taking a break might be just what you need. Take a couple of days off, out of the business and away from your desk, to gain clarity. I almost always get my best ideas when I have some planned time off.

#2: If You’re Feeling Stuck, Check In With Your Mindset

I can pretty much guarantee that most problems in business arise because our mindset or energy isn’t in the right place. Ever write a social media post when you weren’t really feeling it? I bet it flopped, right? We need to be in the right kind of energetic state in order to receive. So come back to your mindset routine. Do you have a regular practice? If not, now might be the time to implement one. [Check out this blog for a rundown on my daily mindset habits.]

#3: Stuck In Your Business? Seek Help To Get Moving Again

Don’t be afraid to ask for help, whether it’s from a loved one, your business bestie, mastermind peers or your mentor. If you don’t have a support network, find one. There are many really friendly business communities online that would welcome you with open arms. And my door is always open. Pop into my DM’s anytime. It’s always good to get a fresh perspective.

#4: Make Time To Play

One of my mentors said this to me the other day, “Make life special every single day” and it really hit home. Life is for living, so live it! It can’t all be work and no play. What can you do to bring more fun into your day? Could you get out for a walk in nature? Could you take the morning off and treat yourself to breakfast somewhere fancy?

#5: Feeling Stuck In Your Business? Check Back In With Your Goals

More often than not, when we’re feeling stuck, something may be off with where we’re heading. Do your goals still feel aligned with your vision? Does your vision still feel aligned with you? Is it still what you want? If not, reassess and reset your vision and goals. They’re not set in stone; you ARE allowed to change them if they no longer feel good.

Let me know how you’re feeling after working through these tips. And if you’re feeling stuck in your business and feel like you need further support, do feel free to reach out. My Online Business Audit is a great place to start and will highlight the gaps across 5 areas of business (Research, Strategy, Marketing, Operations & Mindset).
